The Pepper Peddler exclusively roasts fairly traded and organic (FTO) green coffee beans.

When selecting beans, taste and quality are carefully scrutinized along with bean origin. We choose to support growers who invest in sustainable agriculture, community enhancement and equality through educational and environmental programming. Coffee is cultivated around the world and a multitude of regional and cultural influences affect bean flavor. This phenomenon of characteristic flavor linked to region is commonly referred to as a terroir, or influence of soil. Similar to wine, single origin coffees offer the opportunity to appreciate the terroir of a region. The Pepper Peddler sells only single origin coffee, giving you an ability to develop a palette for regional coffees. Every several months we travel to a new region in search of the perfect cup; something fresh and flavorful, coffee with a story, exploring the world through every morning cup.
